In order to support good visual and thermal comfort, we developed a complete range of shading products.

Visual comfort in offices

Daylight control is the most difficult factor in achieving visual comfort, due to variations in sun paths, time of day and weather conditions. The increased use of modern computer screens and applications along with video conference equipment is changing visual tasks. This has a huge impact on acceptable daylight luminance levels and requires a specific shading performance to ensure glare is controlled. Visual comfort is achieved when daylight, view through and glare control are in balance.

Thermal Comfort in Offices

Productivity is strongly related to indoor temperature. In summer direct solar radiation and re-radiated heat should be prevented from entering the building. Our metallised products reflect most of that radiation, resulting in relatively cool blinds. With our products ""Cool Windows"" can be created. Our metalized fabrics reduce the cooling load of buildings, thus save energy and subsequent carbon emissions due to significant reduction of the solar heat gain. Our products reflect more than 75% solar radiation so important energy (Kwh) savings are achievable.

Sustainable Building Certification

All our products are produced in compliance with ISO 14001, the international environmental standard. Furthermore, the fabrics are Oko-Tex and Greenguard certified and can therefore contribute significantly to obtaining points in green building rating tools such as LEED, Green Star and BREEAM. Naturally we have a recycling programme for our products.
