Wireless Blind Automation

FourC is completely self-sufficient and requires no existing wired power and additional communication infrastructure; a truly plug and play system. It is powered by a high performance solar panel which can be placed behind the window and provides sufficient power in low light conditions or behind solar control glass.

Individual FourC blinds create their own low powered mesh communication network. Each blind can start or expand a communication network. No complex configuration is required as neighbouring devices automatically relay messages to each other. New blinds are detected automatically.

The blinds are controlled via an ergonomic remote or app to make the blinds operate in a controlled manner. The installation and commissioning will be quick and facilitated by the app. The app will also enable synchronous group operation. Result will be a controlled aligned operation and constant weight bar speed, independent of blind size, installation height or roller diameter.

Comfort and indoor environment quality will be improved significantly without the need of large investments, as no additional infrastructure is required. The optimized control strategies using big data result in the best possible comfort level as it can accommodate multiple variables influencing the environment inside buildings.

Normal blinds operate with a fixed angular velocity. FourC motors operate with fixed rotation speed using a patented technology, taking into account the fabric thickness and number of windings enabling a constant weight bar speed.

With the same technology FourC optimizes the speed for minimal sound resonance to create a truly silent blind.

The individual blinds communicate with each other and relay messages such as speed and weight bar height to enable synchronous operation, independent off installation hight.

How it works

When the blind is installed it can be powered by a small high performance solar panel behind the window. The blind can be operated using a special commissioning remote which directly communicates with the blind. A special gateway enables internet & wifi connection for connection to the cloud services and for operation using mobile devices.

With multiple blinds, the blinds create their own mesh network over which it relays all relevant messages and information. The blinds are detected automatically. With each additional blind, the network becomes more robust and reliable.
